About Us

I’m Sohan Dhungel, and I learn by building.

Two years ago, I wanted to build a mobile app. Everyone said “learn native iOS and Android separately.” That sounded exhausting. Then I discovered Flutter—one codebase, two platforms. I was hooked.

But building real apps doesn’t stop at Flutter. I needed to scrape data for a college project—hello Python and web scraping. Academic assignments required professional documentation—enter LaTeX. A classmate got me curious about Web3 and blockchain. Each project led to learning something new.

Instead of keeping my notes scattered across Notion and random text files, I started publishing them here. Every tutorial you’ll find is something I actually learned, struggled with, and eventually figured out.

What You’ll Find Here

Flutter & Mobile Development
Step-by-step tutorials for building cross-platform apps. From your first “Hello World” to state management and production-ready features. This is where I spend most of my time.

LaTeX & Technical Writing
Academic papers, reports, resumes, and professional documentation. I learned LaTeX for college assignments and now use it for everything that needs to look professional.

Web Scraping & Automation
Collecting data from websites, automating repetitive tasks, and building tools that save hours. Python, Beautiful Soup, Selenium—the works.

Web3 & Emerging Tech
Blockchain, DeFi, NFTs, and decentralized systems. I’m exploring this space and documenting what I learn as I go.

AI, Data Mining & More
Machine learning basics, data analytics, and whatever else I’m experimenting with. Consider this the “currently learning” section.

Why This Mix of Topics?

Because real developers don’t stay in one lane.

You might start building a Flutter app, but then you need to:

  • Scrape competitor data for market research
  • Write technical documentation in LaTeX
  • Understand blockchain for a client project
  • Add ML features to your app

Modern development is multidisciplinary. Deadloq reflects that reality.

My Mission

Make complex tech topics approachable for everyone—from complete beginners to developers leveling up their skills.

No fluff. No regurgitated Medium articles. Just real learning from real projects, explained in plain English.

If a tutorial on Deadloq doesn’t teach you something practical you can use today, I haven’t done my job.

Who This Is For

You’re in the right place if you:

  • Want to build mobile apps with Flutter
  • Need to learn LaTeX for academic or professional work
  • Want to automate data collection with web scraping
  • Are curious about Web3 and blockchain
  • Learn best by building actual projects
  • Prefer straightforward explanations over textbook jargon

This probably isn’t for you if:

  • You want advanced, PhD-level deep dives (I’m learning too!)
  • You prefer video tutorials over written guides
  • You need enterprise-scale solutions (I focus on fundamentals)

My Background

I’m a Computer Engineering student and Flutter developer based in Kathmandu, Nepal. I build apps, work on college projects, and learn new technologies daily.

I believe the best way to learn is to build something, break it, fix it, and then teach someone else. That’s what Deadloq is—my way of learning in public while completing my bachelor’s degree.

The Name “Deadloq”

Honestly? I thought it sounded cool. No deep meaning, no clever acronym. Sometimes that’s all you need.

Let’s Connect

Have questions? Drop a comment on any tutorial—I actually read and respond to them.

Found a mistake? Please let me know. I’m learning alongside you, and errors happen.

Built something using a Deadloq tutorial? Share it! Nothing makes me happier than seeing what people create.

What’s Next for Deadloq

More Flutter tutorials (always), deeper dives into state management, real-world app builds from start to finish, and whatever else I’m learning that month.

This site grows as I grow. New topics appear when I learn them. Old tutorials get updated when I find better ways to explain things.

Thanks for being here. Whether you found this site through Google at 2 AM debugging a Flutter error, or you’ve been following since the beginning—I appreciate you.

Now let’s go build something.
